Brookvale Records announces joint venture with Rocket Science

BROOKVALE RECORDS AND ROCKET SCIENCE
ANNOUNCE JOINT VENTURE

 

Rocket Science and Brookvale Records are happy to announce they will be working together on some joint venture releases.

Brookvale Records with their expertise in vinyl releases will be working with the incredible Rocket Science roster to release some of their artist’s works on vinyl.

Our first joint release will be a repressing of the Ace Frehley “Anomaly” album. The release will be on silver colored vinyl and hand numbered.  Look for the release in early 2012.

We are looking forward to working with our RED family on many releases for 2012.

Enjoy the Ride Records was founded by Ross Shotland in the summer of 2008. Having bled for the underground music scene for years as music students, professional booking agents, tour managers, and most importantly – die hard fans – we are now in full throttle to help the bands we’ve always loved with the respect and emotion we’ve always had towards them.

Based out of Merrick, New York (516 represent), we provide our bands with marketing and promotion, tour booking, design and creative needs, PR, merchandise support, web presence, and sound recommendations aimed to catapult them to the next level. We have a great deal of experience growing with bands from small nobodies to nationally recognized acts, and have spent an enormous amount of time learning, witnessing, and feeling the pains of striving artists. We’re here to help.

We hope to work with artists who are both creative and innovative in their own right. We believe there is a lot more music out there than the mainstream likes to acknowledge and it is our goal to let the lesser known bands have a chance to succeed.

Our philosophy is that music is a community. If you treat us right then we will treat you right. Enjoy the Ride Records is run by music lovers for music lovers.

Hotel download in an effort to help Japan..

We have set up a band camp page where you can now purchase the only b-side from ‘Terror and Everything After’.  The track is called Son of the Iron Sheep.  All profits made will be donated to the World Vision organization. The goal of this organization is to create sites for the affected children to resume normal day to day activities.  Every dollar counts in the restoration of their country. Please, either by buying this track or donating personally to any other organization, do your part and help these people out.

Noise in the Basement

So Brookvale Records went down to Noise in the Basement this year. NITB is an Indie Record Store Convention in Baltimore, MD. We had a great time with all our friends. We did a great video presentation for Hotel of the Laughing Tree, Tiger Riot and Grace Read. After our presentation Grace came out and played a few songs. Check out the videos below.

Brookvale signs Tiger Riot!

Tiger Riot is a unit consisting of 5 ordinary guys from Long Island, New York. In and out of previous bands collectively, the remaining attempt to portray their various influences as a combination of melody and intricacy, moods and emotion. The result is new album “Look Up!,” an honest undertaking in order to further advance their ambitions. Brookvale Records is very proud to have signed TIGER RIOT. Look for our album in January of 2011.

Dear Friends,

In 1971, my father Karl Groeger Sr. opened Looney Tunes. In 1988 my brother Jamie and I decided to buy our family store from our father. The store has seen many changes over the years but 2009 was one we will never forget.  Our store became victim to a horrible fire that leveled the entire store and many thought that was the end of Looney Tunes.  But I had other plans.  Four short months later we reopened the store better then ever.  Now 39 years after Looney Tunes first opened it’s doors, I have decided to start another new venture, Brookvale Records. I have wanted to start a record label for some time now. Many of us have “GREAT IDEAS”. It’s just not that easy to turn something from idea into reality.  If the fire has taught me anything, it has taught me to stop thinking and to start doing. Now that I have a label I need distribution. It’s no good making a record if you can’t get it into stores. So we have teamed up with one of the best distribution companies in the country for physical, digital and mobile distribution, RED Distribution. (www.redmusic.com). RED is widely recognized as the industry leader in independent distribution and artist development.
